I've created this page and am running the Great North Run because I'm inspired by the British Liver Trust and want to support their work.
This year I am running for little Alice, a brave little girl whom is only 3 weeks younger than my Daughter. Alice was diagnosed with acute liver failure in November 17, she was just 13.5 months old. With only a 20% chance of survival, her parents Louise and Ryan were preparing themselves for the absolute worst outcome, something no parent should ever have to think about. Alice's Mum Louise was matched as a living liver donor, however at the last minute a liver donor came available. The 3 months following surgery were not easy, Alice was still in and out of hospital with various complications including liver rejection and blocked bowels which required further surgery. But 9 months on she is doing fantastic and continues to amaze everybody every day, always with a beautiful smile on her face. What a little superstar!
Please help us to support the charity’s work with a donation using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about the British Liver Trust, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing this page with friends and family and your wider networks.
Thank you in advance for your support, it really does mean a lot.
